Latest News
In revising the web site, we have divided our latest news up over 4 separate pages to better allow
you to keep track of all the "stuff" that goes on with the team each
year. You can "bookmark" whichever pages you find most useful to
you for a quick way to keep up on exactly what is going on with the
team.
Below are descriptions of what you can find on each page.
Once the season is over, we archive these news items on the web site in case you want to go back and find a news item you may have missed; it also makes for a good history of what has happened with the team each season.
Team Bulletin Board
For those of you that have been with us in the past, this page is similar to what used to be on our Home Page. It is patterned after a physical bulletin board, much like what we have at practice, and we will post brief notes and notices of important items to this bulletin board.
Latest News
This page will contain brief "news" stories about activities and events going on with the team. They will have more detail than the Bulletin Board and will be viewable for a longer period of time. Once an item has been posted for a 10 to 14 days or once the event covered by the story has passed, the news story will be moved to the appropriate month on the News by the Month page of this section.
Have You Heard
Patterned after the Latest News Page, this page will have items of interest about our swimmers and their families. The items may be about swimming related topics or may be about things that our swimmers have achieved outside the pool. This section will be focused on the individual, rather than an event, which will be covered on the Latest News and News by the Month pages. Items on this page will remain there for the duration of each season and then will be "rolled" onto a page in the Web Site Archives.
News by the Month
This page will be the repository of all the Latest News items when they are no longer current news (see the Latest News page description above). There will be the news item headlines, organized by the month of the season, usually April through August, and each of these headlines will have a link to display the related news item. As mentioned above, once the season concludes, the news items from these pages will be placed into the Web Site Archives.
