Coaching Staff Update

We have tentatively filled the coaching vacancies created by some of our coaches moving on into their chosen careers.

As we previously announced, Becky & Roger Deary, Ryan Lockwood, Susan Messer, Kayleigh Hayes and Rachel Deary are all returning to coach for us in 2011. We have re-hired former Blue Dolphin Cassie Craddock and hired current Blue Dolphins Matt Guthart and Josh Prucha to fill out this year's staff.

We believe this will again make our staff the best coaching staff in RCSL as we combine almost 100 years of coaching experience and have one of the lowest swimmer to coach ratios in the League!

2011 Season Information Now Posted

We have finished about 90% of our plans for 2011 and have posted the information online. We have also opened up the Online Registration system for the upcoming season. As of April 5, we have 18 swimmers registered online for 2011 with more signing up every day! Use the "2011 Season Information" and "New Member" links at left for details and then use the Online Registration system link to sign up today.

The Online Swimmer Registration has been active since March 22nd and the other online features such as parent meet volunteers and swimmer meet declaration came online on April 1st. Last year, we had about 80% of our 100+ families utilize the online registration system and it worked very well.

Final Dual Meet Details Set

All of the dates, times and locations for our six dual meets this year are now set. We had a conflict with JCDS for our original date for hosting Epping Forest. Thanks to some flexibility on their part, we were able to move the meet from the morning of Saturday, 6/11 to the evening of Thursday, 6/9. Coach Becky & Family Enjoy NC Mountains

We want to say a big "THANK YOU" to all of our families that helped to send Becky, Rachel & I for a great week at Beech Mountain, NC!! We saw some great scenery, awesome fall colors and had lots of fun!

JCDS Installs Sun Shades Over Portions of Deck

Over the recent spring break, JCDS installed two sets of sun shades at the pool. One set runs behind the starting blocks from lanes 1 to lane 8 and the second set covers an area of the deck between the competition and wading pools. Thanks to the folks at JCDS for this welcome improvement!
